Eilish McColgan returned to the streets of London in triumphant fashion as she added a second Vitality London 10,000 title to her resume.

The Scot, who is the British record holder for the 10K distance, raced home to win in 31:36, ahead of Lucy Reid (32:17) and Lily Partridge (32:37).

In the men’s race, Jack Rowe defended his title in 29:14. Seyfu Jamaal was second (29:42) and Tewelde Menges was third (29:55).

In the wheelchair races, David Weir marked his first race since announcing his retirement from Great Britain competition by winning in 22:13. Michael McCabe was second (25:32) and Illias Zghoundi was third (30:03).

In the women’s wheelchair race, Martyna Snopek took victory in 38:37 ahead of Erin O’Flaherty (39:50).
